Follicle Tracking

Day 1 – First day of period. Ring Dr Lulania’s rooms to make an appointment for day 12 for follicle scan.

Days 5-9 – Take Clomid as prescribed, whether you are still bleeding or not.

Day 12 – Appointment with Dr Lulania for follicle scan (this is a transvaginal ultrasound).
This appointment may need to be made for day 11 or 13 of cycle, if your day 12 happens to fall on a weekend.
Depending on the sizes and number of follicles seen at this appointment, you will be instructed when to start your LH blood tests.

When your LH surge is detected (i.e. LH above 15), you will have the Pregnyl (BHCG) injection.
You need to have intercourse 24 hours after the injection, and then again 24 hours later.

A pregnancy test may show a false positive result if done prior to 14 days following the injection (this is because of the hormone injection).
